Why a luxury hotel bed for your home?

Most people name nights spent in luxury hotel beds as the ultimate sleeping experience. Beds so comfortable that you never want to get out. Suddenly you can’t do without a down mattress topper, crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen and king-size hotel pillows. And that is no surprise, because hotel beds are a category of their own. DOUXE develops unique bed concepts for four- and five-star hotels, and it is now possible to enjoy these luxury hotel beds at home too.

What is a hotel bed?

A bed must be comfortable and offer the right support. DOUXE goes further, by making sleep a true experience. We create the ultimate comfort experience by building our hotel beds from multiple layers. A complete bed concept consists of a luxurious down duvet, extra wide and comfortable pillows and crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen. In this way we make it possible for everyone to experience the quality of a luxury hotel at home. Five-star comfort within reach!

What are hotel-quality beds?

DOUXE is originally a hotel brand. Our team of young professionals knows what is going on in the world of sleep. We are inspired by international hotels and use beautiful, natural materials. It is our mission to offer you a heavenly sleeping experience. For us, hotel quality means the right combination of sleeping comfort, durability and choice of materials. The box spring and the mattress provide a firm base, and extra layers, such as Featherbeds, thickly filled down duvets and bed linen made of Egyptian percale cotton, provide the soft and luxurious feel. DOUXE stands for luxury, comfort and tailor-made service: something you also expect during a stay in a luxury hotel.

How do I make my bed like a hotel bed?

Our signature beds have been developed especially for luxury four- and five-star hotels. With hotel beds it is mainly about that lavish, luxurious feeling. Adding a Featherbed creates a thicker-looking and noticeably softer mattress combination. For the Featherbed we always recommend a Featherbed protector or protective cover, which makes sure no small feathers poke through the ticking. The Featherbed must become one with the mattress. So always make up the Featherbed together with the mattress, a mattress protector and, over that, an Egyptian cotton fitted sheet. Both covers have an extra-deep corner of at least 45 cm. Indispensable on a luxury hotel bed are king-size hotel pillows which, at a width of 90 cm, span the entire width of the bed. Together with a set of body pillows, the picture is complete. Choose a down duvet for that full yet lightweight feeling. And the icing on the cake: 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen. For the crisp feeling you experience in a hotel, choose percale quality. And for the real hotel look, choose that fresh, pure white bed linen. If you would still like to add more colour to your bedroom, choose one of our other beautiful, subtle colours of Egyptian cotton. We recommend fitting the pillows with a pillow protector first and only then dressing them with a pillowcase. This provides extra hygienic protection.
