DOUXE has achieved the Thuiswinkel.org sustainability certification

This means that we have been assessed on sustainability in six independent areas:

1. Sustainability strategy and management - At DOUXE, we strive for a balance between luxury and environmental awareness. Our products are designed for long-term use, which contributes to less waste and a lower environmental impact.

2. Circular Economy - Our down and feather products are DOWNPASS-certified, which means they come from strictly controlled and traceable supply chains. This guarantees not only animal welfare but also responsible production. We also offer synthetic alternatives such as Ecodons and PrimaLoft Bio filling, which are largely biodegradable.

3. Product range - Our range includes products with specific sustainability benefits:
-DOWNPASS-certified, which stands for animal-friendly and traceable production.
-High-quality microfibre fillings, which have a long lifespan and are ideal for people with allergies
-Our bed linen is made from 100% Egyptian cotton, known for its durability and comfort thanks to its extra-long fibre.

4. Packaging - We aim to use environmentally friendly packaging solutions that fit our sustainability goals; for example, we pack with 100% biodegradable plastic.

5. Returns - At DOUXE, we encourage conscious purchases by providing comprehensive product information. When products are returned, they are carefully inspected and, where possible, resold or offered in our outlet. As a result, 95% of returned products get a second life, which helps to reduce waste.

6. Delivery - At DOUXE, we believe that comfort and care for the world go hand in hand. Our search for the best night's sleep does not stop at the quality of our products; it continues in the way they reach your home.

UPV Textiel & Recycling

Since 2026, we have been working with UPV Textiel (Extended Producer Responsibility). This means that we actively contribute to a system in which textiles do not end up on the waste heap, but are collected for reuse or high-quality recycling.

Sustainability lies in the small things that make a big difference. We are proud to offer Marie-Stella-Maris in our range. Because we believe in a circular approach, we offer MSM Refills. By refilling your empty bottles instead of buying new packaging, together we reduce the mountain of waste and contribute to a more conscious lifestyle.

Egyptian Cotton Association

The Egyptian Cotton Certificate guarantees 100% authentic Egyptian cotton, verified by DNA testing.

Downpass Certificate

DOUXE's down is traceable, animal-friendly and free from live plucking and force-feeding, with care for animal welfare.

PrimaLoft® Bio™

PrimaLoft® Bio™ technology reduces microplastics thanks to biodegradable materials.

Nomite Certificate

Our down and feather products are suitable for people with a house dust mite allergy and promote healthy sleep.

Öko Tex Certificate

Carefully Made in Europe

Our DOUXE Featherbeds, duvets and pillows are produced in some of the most modern factories in Europe, located in Austria and Germany. Here the down and feathers are washed with fresh water from their own spring, which ensures the highest quality. All our down and feather products are Downpass certified.

Our box springs and mattresses are carefully made in the Netherlands by experienced bed makers, who use only the best materials to guarantee lasting quality. Producing closer to home means lower transport costs and lower CO2 emissions.

Our bed and bath linen is manufactured in Portugal, where craftsmanship and high quality take centre stage. Here we work with the Egyptian Cotton certificate. The quality is extra high, so the product lasts even longer.

100% biodegradable plastic packaging
